Qurbani Udhiya story

A Family’s Eid Without Qurbani

Last year in Sudan, Aisha, a widowed mother of three, prepared for Eid al-Adha with no food in her home. While other families prepared to slaughter their animals, her children asked why they had no meat. That morning, Amel Foundation volunteers arrived with fresh Qurbani meat. For Aisha’s family, it turned despair into celebration the children ate, smiled, and felt the spirit of Eid once again.

This is the power of Qurbani. It’s not only about sacrifice; it’s about restoring dignity, joy, and hope during the holiest of days.

This Year (1446 AH / 2025 CE):
We want to bring this same joy to thousands more families, especially those displaced by conflict and struggling with hunger. Your Qurbani is their Eid celebration.

“Their meat will not reach Allah, nor will their blood, but what reaches Him is piety from you.” Surah Al-Hajj (37)
