The Future of Any Community

The future of any community is written by its youth, and at the AMEL Foundation, we are committed to ensuring that the young Sudanese-American generation has the tools to lead with courage and clarity. Our Youth Leadership and Advocacy programs are designed to bridge the gap between passion and professional activism. By focusing on community empowerment, Sudan supporters can participate domestically, and we provide a platform where young voices are not just heard but are instrumental in shaping the narrative of resilience and reform for their homeland. Empowered by mentorship and practical training, the Amel Young Wing members are taking the lead in raising vital funds with efficiency and impact. This initiative is a core part of the AMEL Foundation’s development strategy, giving students from schools and universities across America the tools to turn their passion into tangible results.

Athletic Solidarity: The Run For Sudan

One of our flagship initiatives, the Run For Sudan, serves as a powerful example of athletic solidarity. This event is more than just a race; it is a movement that allows young individuals to channel their energy into raising critical funds for humanitarian aid Sudan urgently requires. Standing by our young folks in the path of their interests whether in sports, art, or social justice is a core part of our mandate. These activities foster a sense of belonging and purpose, connecting the diaspora to the ground realities of the Sudan crisis relief efforts in a way that is active, healthy, and high-impact.

Intellectual Development & Advocacy

Volunteerism serves as the professional backbone of our domestic presence. We are proud to offer local students and young professionals a chance to gain hands-on experience in the non-profit sector through our Euless office. A shining example of this is Ola Emad Ashaam, who recently completed her volunteering service hours with our team, contributing to the vital administrative and outreach tasks that keep our foundation running. These refugee support initiatives at the office level allow young leaders to understand the logistics of humanitarian aid Sudan requires while developing their own professional skills in communication, data management, and civic advocacy.
