– About 15 million children need humanitarian assistance .
– Around 770,000 children under 5 are expected to suffer severe acute malnutrition (life threatening.
– 57,000 orphans in the safe area around Khartoum and other safe zones . Total estimated number of orphans in Sudan is 1,4 million
– Many more are unaccompanied or separate – lost , displaced or without parents
