Our Domestic Humanitarian Service and Community Impact

The AMEL Foundation believes that the spirit of humanitarianism knows no borders. While our global mission focuses on the urgent needs in East Africa, our Domestic Humanitarian Service ensures that we remain a pillar of support within our own local communities in Texas. By addressing local needs from feeding the homeless to providing professional growth for students we demonstrate that the core values of community empowerment Sudan relies on are the same values we apply to our neighbors in Euless and Dallas. We are committed to building a legacy of service that is as locally rooted as it is globally impactful.

Local Direct Action: Feeding the Homeless

Our commitment to dignity for all is most visible in our local direct-action programs. AMEL Foundation regularly mobilizes teams for feeding the homeless across the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. We recognize that food insecurity is a universal challenge that demands an immediate response, whether it occurs in a displacement camp or on our own city streets. These efforts provide emergency food assistance to those in need locally, ensuring that our team stays connected to the practical realities of service. By serving the most vulnerable at home, we refine the empathy and efficiency needed to manage large-scale food security projects abroad.

Volunteerism & Professional Growth

Volunteerism serves as the professional backbone of our domestic presence. We are proud to offer local students and young professionals a chance to gain hands-on experience in the non-profit sector through our Euless office. A shining example of this is Ola Emad Ashaam, who recently completed her volunteering service hours with our team, contributing to the vital administrative and outreach tasks that keep our foundation running. These refugee support initiatives at the office level allow young leaders to understand the logistics of humanitarian aid Sudan requires while developing their own professional skills in communication, data management, and civic advocacy.
