Our Beginning

Amel Foundation was established in 2021, headquartered in Dallas, Texas, with a mission to serve the underserved and uplift those most in need. From the start, our work has been guided by a commitment to answer urgent needs while also building pathways for long-term resilience.

Efforts Before Amel Foundation

Before founding Amel Foundation, Dr. Khalid dedicated years of service to charitable and humanitarian work across several countries. These experiences shaped his vision and laid the foundation for Amel’s mission.

Responding to Sudan’s Crisis

As conflict in Sudan displaced millions, Amel Foundation mobilized on the ground. With over 11 million people forced from their homes, the crisis became the heart of our mission. We expanded programs in Sudan delivering food aid, clean water, healthcare, and education to communities struggling to survive.
