After years of extreme hardship and escalating violence, life in Al-Fashir reached a breaking point in late October 2025. Tens of thousands of families were forced to leave everything behind and flee in search of safety, food, and basic dignity.
Many walked for days under harsh conditions until they reached Al-Dabba locality in Sudan’s Northern State, arriving exhausted, hungry, and without resources.
Amel Foundation responded immediately.
These videos show the reality faced by Sudanese families and the urgent need for humanitarian support
For months, Al-Fashir endured worsening conditions marked by shortages of food, clean water, and medical care. Supply routes were disrupted, health facilities struggled to function, and civilians faced constant uncertainty.
In late October 2025, attacks intensified, pushing families beyond their limits. With basic services collapsing and fear spreading, large numbers of civilians had no choice but to flee.
Over 30,000 people escaped the city, many becoming displaced overnight and left dependent on humanitarian assistance to survive.
Amel Foundation mobilized quickly to support families who reached Al-Dabba after fleeing Al-Fashir.
📍 Location: Al-Dabba Locality, Northern State
🗓 Timeline: Ongoing since November 2025

Support made possible by international donors and community partners
Needs continue to grow.
While the total number of displaced people exceeds 30,000, current resources allow us to support only a portion of those in need. Families require not just food, but clean water, healthcare, sanitation, and protection.
💰 Current Monthly Need: $500,000+
This amount is required to cover food, basic health support, logistics, and essential services for displaced families.
Without sustained support, these families remain at risk.
We believe trust is built through action and accountability.
This page features real images and videos from the field, documenting kitchens, food preparation, distributions, and the people behind the numbers.
